white rice (Hegel said eating
is knowing) and blue shelled crabs
go a long way
to fathom
five fingers worth
of bilge;
a lunch of wine and squid
explains
anything

Hi,
I love the line "a lunch of wine and squid explains anything." beautiful.
I absolutely agree. I had that for lunch on an island in the Azores and after words, I needed no words, because it did indeed explain everything :)
Hi Rufo, I thought that line was funny. Beautiful and funny donc... good poem. Best, Jonathan.
